Mr George Joseph assumes charge as Syndicate Bank Chairman

Bangalore, Aug 4(UNI) Mr George Joseph has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank.

Prior to taking over as Chairman, he was the Executive Director of SyndicateBank since April 2006.

Before joining Syndicate Bank in April 2006 as Executive Director, Mr George Joseph served Canara Bank for over 36 years. While at Canara Bank, he was deputed to Bahrain as Chief Executive of the Exchange Company under Canara Bank Management, according to a release here today.

During his tenure as Executive Director in Syndicate Bank, the Bank made gigantic strides in its business growth. The business grew from Rs 91,284 crore to Rs 1,60,368 crore during his two years tenure as Executive Director of the Bank.
