Low pressure to bring widespread rains in AP

Hyderabad, Aug 4 (UNI) Telangana and Coastal Andhra regions of Andhra Pradesh will experience widespread rains in the next 48 hours under the influence of low pressure area which lies over westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra and South Orissa coasts.

A fresh low pressure area was likely to form over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal around August nine, Indian Meteorology Department(IMD) officials said here today.

''Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall was likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,'' they added.

Rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over both the regions. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Rayalaseema.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Telangana in the last 24 hours. Rain occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
