Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) Indo-fusion label, Indiabeat, will launch six new albums including that of Debashish Bhattacharya, winner of BBC World Music 2007-08 (Asia-Pacific) award, by year-end.

Other new launches will include 'Namaste' featuring the Karnatriix band with John Anthony on guitars, Ustad Faiyaz Ahamed Khan on vocals/sarangi and the colloborative work of new album with guitarist Henrick Anderson and flautist Shashank and international percussionist Pete Lockett.

Also in the line-up are re-launches of Jazz guitarist Amit Heri's album with additional new tracks and 'American Raga' by tabla player Broto Roy, nominee of 2007 Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIE).

''In India, music is part of a bigger entertainment package that is Bollywood and it is not an easy battle to fight against Bollywood on commercial terms. But today, there are takers for world music genre. If we compare Sufi as a genre about a decade ago, nobody knew about it, but today it has become essentially mainstream,'' said Indiabeat, founder Samiran Gupta.
