HP to procure apples under MIS

Shimla, Aug 4 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government will implement Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for procurement of apples in the coming season.

An official spokesman today stated that 'C' grade apples would be procured through 242 procurement centres at the rate of Rs 5.25 per kg under the supervision of HPMC, HIMFED and Horticulture department.

He said procurement under MIS would be done from only those fruit growers who have 'horticulture cards'.

He urged the horticulturists to contact the in-charge of the nearest procurement centres for further information.
