ER modifies train services in Bengal

Kolkata, Aug 4 (UNI) The Eastern Railway(ER) has modified the running of Mail, Express and Passenger trains from August 5 to 29 due to non-interlocking works for remodelling of Bardhaman station.

Some of the trains cancelled by the ER include 213/214 Howrah-Mokama Fast Passenger, 3503/3504 Sealdah Asansol Intercity Express and 2347/2348 Howrah-Rampurhat Express, while 3049/3050 Howrah-Amritsar Express and 3133/3134 Sealdah-Varansi express had been terminated at Asansol and Sahibgunj and will originate from there, ER sources said.

Moreover, some trains had been diverted via Bandel-Katwa-Azimganj-New Farakka which include 2503/2504 Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri Express, 2509/2510 Bangalore-Guwahati Express, 2515/2516 Trivandram-Guwahati Express, 2513/2514 Secunderabad-Guwahati Express,2507/2508 Ernaculam- Guwahati Express, 5227/5228 Yasvantpur-Muzaffarpur Express, 3147/3148 Sealdah-New Coochbihar Uttarbang Express and 3161/3162 Sealdah- Balurghat Tebhaga Express, ER sources added.
