Dungeon dad's wife claims she is 'a victim too'

London, Aug 4 : Dungeon dad Josef Fritzl's wife Rosemarie, 69, claims that even she is a victim of the horrendous crimes committed by her husband.

She says that she "lives like an animal" in hiding as she is afraid of being seen in public.

She insists that she was unaware of the secret cellar beneath her home in Amstetten, Austria, where her husband had kept their daughter Elisabeth as a sex slave in a cellar beneath their ancestral home for 24 long years, and fathered six children with her.

Rosemarie says that she brought up three of his seven incest kids believing Fritzl's claim that Elisabeth had left them behind, and joined a cult.

She agreed to the written answers given on her behalf by sister Christine to a Swedish paper.

"My sister has totally lost it. She is also a victim and cannot understand that she does not get any help from anyone," British tabloid The Sun quoted Christine as saying.

According to the prosecutors, Fritzl may face charges of slavery and can get 20 years behind bars rather than 10 for rape and incest, if convicted.
