AI employee commits sucide at NSCBI Airport
Kolkata, Aug 4 (UNI) An Air India employee allegedly committed sucide at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport today.
Official sources said Barun Kumar Biswas (50) was found hanging inside a transfer room in a remote part of the airport.
Mr Biswas was stated to be on duty last night and some of his colleagues asserted that they noticed nothing abnormal in his behaviour. His duty ended at around 1000 hours.
Later, some grass cutters found him hanging in the room in his uniform with his photo identy card at about 1300 hours and raised an alarm.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, the sources added.
A chief leading aircraft equipment operator of Air India, Mr Biswas is survived by his wife and two children. His brother is also an employee of Air India.
