Bangalore, Aug 4 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Agumbe 10; Linganamakki 8; Gerusoppa 7.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Dharmasthala, Sringeri 6 each; Belthangadi, Kota, Bhatkal, Bhalki, Saigoan, Bimalkhed, Humnabad, Bidar 5 each; Mudibidre, Mani, Kumta, Aurad, Madikeri, Talaguppa, Jayapura 4 each; Bantwal, Kundapur, Siddapura, Honavar, Ankola, Basavakalyan, Bhagamandala, Kammardi 3 each; Bajpe, Puttur, Sulya Udupi, Shirali, Karwar, Siddapura, Jagalbet, Joida, Munirabad, Kuknoor, Chincholi, Madapura, Somwarpet, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Kottigehara, Mudigere, Koppa, Balehonnur, N.R.Pura 2 each.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over the remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over the State during next 48 hours.

FISHRIES WARNING: Strong onshore winds from northwesterly to westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45 to 55 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during the 24 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy with few spells of rain.
