Aditya Birla Nuvo Q1 net up 23.45 pc at Rs 41.64 cr

New Delhi, Aug 4: Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd on Monday August 4 said its net profit has increased 23.45 per cent to Rs 41.64 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as compared to Rs 33.73 crore for the same quarter last year.

Total income increased 37.63 per cent to Rs 1,081.23 crore for Q1 FY09 as against Rs 785.57 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. The Group posted a net loss of Rs 28.32 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as compared to net profit of Rs 94.69 crore for the same quarter last fiscal. Total income, however, increased 47.97 per cent to Rs 3,252.89 crore for the Q1 FY09 from Rs 2,198.29 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
