TN minister assures welfare schemes for scribe
Tiruchirapalli, Aug 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Transport Minister K N Nehru today said the DMK Government, led by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, was committed to provide adequate welfare to newspersons and their family.
Inaugurating the Tiruchi Press Guild here, the Minister assured the members of the Guild that he would take necessary steps to get them house sites and other benefits from the Government.
During the occasion, four senior journalists were also honoured by the Minister.
District Collector T Soundiah, Anbil Periyaamy MLA and Guild President J Raghavan also attended the function.
