Rajnath condoles stampede deaths in Naina Devi shrine
New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic stampede, resulting in the death of 130 pilgrims at the Naina Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh.
In a statement, Mr Singh conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims who have lost their lives or have been seriously injured in the incident.
He said he had called on HP Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal to get a brief about the incident and directed him to take all necessary steps to assuage the sufferings of the affected people.
