Nitish Kumar orders enquiry into a truck accident in Bihar
Patna, Aug 3 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today ordered an enquiry into last night's truck accident in which thirty-eight farm labourers were killed and 15 injured.
He announced an ex-gratia of one-lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased.
According to the police, the mishap occurred when an overloaded truck carrying them, plunged into a river at Ghongsa village in Bihar's Lakhisarai district around 9.15 pm on Saturday.
The victims were returning home to Mansi in Khagaria district after paddy plantation.
The injured, some of them in serious conditions, have been admitted to a Government hospital at Sikandra. The death toll could rise as ten of the injured are in a critical condition.
