IGNOU organises seminar on Freedom Struggle
New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) To commemorate 60 years of Independence , Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is organising a two-day seminar on India's freedom struggle on August 8 and 9.
The seminar, "One Goal and Many Streams, Leadership and Mass Participation", is being organised by the IGNOU's Indira Gandhi Studies on Freedom Struggle.
The seminar aims to draw attention of the nation, particularly the younger generation to recall, remember the sacrifices made by our leaders and by those who have not been acknowledged so far.
The seminar will highlight the role of press during the freedom struggle and also the freedom and penalties imposed on it.
Besides some other topics ,the seminar will also depict the role of people beyond the national boundaries and the international perspective of national leaders during the country's freedom struggle.
IGNOU would organise the seminar at their campus at Maidan Garhi in South Delhi.
