Dacoit take away Rs 70 in cash from Security agency

Mysore, Aug 3 (UNI) Seven member gang raided a security agency in the industrial area near Metagalli on the outskirts of the city in the early hours today and made away with Rs 70 lakhs in cash.

Police said the gang attacked on the security guard and the supervisor on duty with iron rods and sharp weapons. They gained entry through main door and opened the strong room forcing the supervisor to part with keys.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivalingiah who visited the spot told newsmen that the money, which robbed belonged to a public sector bank to be put in its ATM booths.

Since today being a Sunday the money was drawn yesterday and kept in the security agency's safe.

Police have spread a dragnet to nab the culprits, he added.
