CDA chairman to be appointed soon: Yeddyurappa
Kollur, Aug 3 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said the Government would appoint a Chairman for the proposed Coastal Development Authority (CDA) for overall development of Daxina Kannada, Udupi and Uttar Kannada, coastal districts, which were neglected by previous Governments.
Talking to mediapersons, after performing Yaga at Mookambika temple here, he said the Government would make arrangements to release necessary fund for the development of the CDA.
Mr Yeddyurappa said the Government had planned to create air strips in all District Headquarters with infrastucture facilities in two years, including the one at Ottinene near Kundapura in the district to facilitate investment prospects for the Industries.
The Chief Minister said to stop the migration of youths from rural to urban areas and that the Government would ensure the villagers enjoy facilities provided to the urban people.
He said the Government had given special thrust on Industrialisation and would provide hassle-free atmosphere to those willing to invest in the State.
The Government would also provide training and employment to ten-lakh educated youths in the next five years, he added.
