World's largest swingers party kicks off in Hollywood!

Melbourne, Aug 2 : SwingFest '08, dubbed the 'world's largest swingers party' kicked off in Hollywood on Thursday.

The 4-day festival opened up in Westin Diplomat Resort with hundreds of couples expected to arrive from almost every state and 20 countries.

The couples would be seen enjoying lingerie parties, pool fests and "play rooms" that the SwingFest web site promises will be "wild."

The swinging lifestyle has come a long way toward acceptance in South Florida after Broward deputies under Sheriff Ken Jenne raided two private clubs in 1999.

Of the 55 patrons and employees taken away in handcuffs, none were found guilty of a crime and, most cases were dismissed by prosecutors.

"We didn't even look into that. We literally chose it for the weather and the hotel," Daily Telegraph quoted Jason Jean, SwingFest's owner and organiser, as saying of South Florida's not-so-swinging past.

"With so much space available to us during the resort takeover, you're sure to find the room you desire. Or just lounge by the pool and soak in the sexually charged atmosphere," according to the event web site.

The SwingFest will also have Speakers leading seminars on topics like Legal Issues Affecting Swingers Clubs and Writing the Perfect Online Profile.
