Union Bank of India opens branch in Hong Kong
New Delhi, Aug 2: State-run Union Bank of India (UBoI) today said it has opened its first branch in Hong Kong, which will offer a variety of products and services to corporates and individuals.
''The overseas branch at Hong Kong and the representative office in Shanghai would enable us to explore opportunites from the growing Indo-China trade relations,'' UBoI CMD M V Nair said in a statement. The Hong Kong branch will target major business in wholesale banking, loan syndication, trade finance, other trade-related businesses and retail banking. The Branch was declared open by Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal.
