Senior citizen killed, two injured in robbery bid

Nashik, Aug 2 (UNI) A 70-year-old man was killed and two of his family members injured while resisting a robbery bid in their house at Adgaon near the Mumbai-Agra Highway here today.

According to police, Kisan Sahane was killed, while his wife Jeejabai Sahane and son Somnath Sahane were seriously injured by the robbers, who broke into their house in the wee hours.

After attacking the family, the robbers made away with valuables from the house. Investigations were being carried out to ascertain the exact amount of loot and other details, police said.

Meanwhile, the injured have been admitted to a private hospital here.
