Seminar on Tourism in Goa on Aug 8
Panaji, Aug 1 (UNI) The Goa Chamber of Commerce&Industry (GCCI), in association with Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) and Directorate of Tourism of Government of Goa, has organised a seminar on Tourism on August 8 here.
The seminar will discuss the roadmap for development of tourism industry in Goa, given the adverse publicity it had received in the recent times. The focus areas of the seminar will be prospects for development of eco and heritage tourism.
Governor Dr Shivinder Singh Sidhu and Tourism minister Francisco Xavier Pacheco will participate in the inaugural session.
It will be addressed by Sujatha Thakur, Regional Director of India Tourism, and Dinesh Khanna, President of Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Associations of India.
The main seminar will be addressed by Jamshed Daboo, Chief Operating Officer of Indian Hotels Co Ltd (Taj Group), Lenny Menezes, N Taher of ASI and Saltanat Kazi of TERI.
This is the third Tourism meet organized by the Chamber. The earlier two were held in March 2006 and in October 2003.
