Scorching day in Kolkata, mercury rises to 33 degree Celsius

Kolkata, Aug 02 (UNI) After heavy rains brought some coolness yesterday, it was back to hot and humid weather conditions here today.

The local Met office recorded the maximum temperature at 33 degree Celcius while the minimum was pegged at 26.9 degree Celcius.

The city recorded 6.4 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours.

Moreover, the Met officials predicted partly cloudy sky during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas.
