Rs 1.5 lakh stolen from railway staff's quarter
Samastipur, Aug 02 (UNI) A gang of miscreants stole valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh from a railway staff's quarter near the Station Road area under Town police station of the district.
Police said a couple of days ago one Gangadhar Singh, a railway staff of Samastipur division, left the town on a tour to Patna along with his family.
The miscreants broke open the entrance door last night, entered the quarter and stole all the valuables, including jewellery and Rs 50,000 in cash.
An FIR had been lodged in this connection, police added.
