Police find clue in Ashram school deaths
Chhindwara, MP, Aug 2 (UNI) Police have unearthed an important clue in the mysterious deaths of two children in Asaram Gurukul Ashram here.
Inspector General of Police (Jabalpur range) M R Krishna told reporters here that all the aspects concerning the deaths were expected to be known soon. About 200 people have been interrogated in connection with the death of two boys on July 29 and July 31 respectively.
Mr Krishna did not reply to other questions posed by reporters.
He said Ashram premises have not been sealed but necessary steps have been taken in view of security.
Post-mortem of Vedant (5), who died on July 31, indicated that the death occurred due to suffocation. A detailed report in connection with the death of both children was awaited.
Radhakrishan Yadav (4) was found dead in his bathroom in the ashram on July 29. Vedant was found unconscious in another bathroom on July 31. He was taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead.
A near total shutdown -- called by the Gondwana Ganatantra Party -- was observed in protest against the incident.
