Patiala thrash Minor Districts in Dhruv Pandove trophy
Patiala, Aug 2 (UNI) In a one-sided match, Patiala thrashed Minor Districts by an innings and 61 runs in the opening match of Punjab Inter-District cricket tournament (Under-19) for Dhruv Pandove Trophy here today at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.
Overnight 261 for four, Patiala resumed their first innings, and took no time to declare when the score was 278. Jeevanjot Singh completed his century and was unbeaten. Mohit Mohindra, unbeaten on 58 yesterday, was not out on 61.
In the second essay, Minor Districts were all out for 141 in 32.2 overs. Gurpreet Singh (32) and Rajkamal (25) were the main run getters.
For Patiala, Robin Dhillon and Amarinder Singh took two wickets each, conceding 16 and 36 runs respectively. Sandeep Sharma got 2 for 41.
