One more succumbs to malaria, toll rises to 65
Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) One more person succumbed to malaria today, which 24 lives, in the metropolis since the start of rains in June.
According to civic health officials, a 17-year-old male patient who was suffering from malaria and admitted to the corporation-run Kasturba Hospital on July 28, died here.
With his death, the toll due to rain-related ailments has risen to 65, they said.
In the period between Friday and Saturday, 227 people have been admitted for fever, 54 for gastroenteritis, seven for leptospirosis and 54 for malaria in the various civic-run hospitals in the metropolis, they added.
