Man held with country-made bombs at Faizabad court
Faizabad, Aug 2 (UNI) Police today arrested a man and seized three country-made bombs from him on the court premises here.
During the routine checking on the court premises, police recovered the country-made bombs from one Nankau of Sravasti district, Police Superintendent (city) Gopesh Nath Khanna said.
However, during interrogation, the accused said the seized materials were not bomb, but crackers, which he had purchased for a wedding at home and mistakenly brought it on the premises, Mr Khanna added.
Nankau had come to the court regarding a Gangster case.
Following the contemporaneous blast in the court premises on November 23, 2007, the Faizabad Bar Association had tightened the security at the entrance and exit points.
