Leakage in boiler affects power production
Visakhapatnam, Aug 2 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) Chief General Manager, operations and customer services B Ramesh Prasad today said power supply in the coastal districts of East and West Godavari, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam was disrupted due to leakage in a boiler in the 500 mw unit of the National Thermal Power Project (NTPC) in the city.
He told UNI here this morning that the leak was due to a snag in the boiler pipes.
He said however, power supply which had been cut for villages and towns, would be restored when NTPC resumes normal production tonight.
