K R Kamath takes over as Allahabad Bank CMD
Kolkata, Aug 2 (UNI) Mr K R Kamath has taken over as the Allahabad Bank Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) with effect from today, in terms of the notification issued by the Union Finance Ministry(Banking Division).
Informing this here, an Allahabad Bank communique today said Mr Kamath was the Bank of India Executive Director for a period of over two years, before joining the bank. A scholar of the University of Mysore, Mr Kamath was also a Certified Asscoiate of Indian Institute of Bankers, it added.
The post of CMD was lying vacant following the demission of office by Mr A C Mahajan on June 30, the press release further informed.
