JD(S) urges 50 pc quota in Pvt. Medical Colleges

Puducherry, Aug 2 (UNI) Puducherry unit of the Janata Dal(Secular) today urged the union territory administration to take immediate steps to get 50 per cent seats from Private Medical Colleges here for government quota, rendering justice to the students opting to pursue medical education.

In a statment here JD(S) President E Ganesan charged that the government was not taking proper steps in this direction.

JD(S) would organise agitations if effective steps were not taken before August 31, he added.
