Inflow continues despite decrease in rain
Mysore, Aug 2(UNI) Though the rains has reduced in catchment areas of Cauvery Basin reservoirs, the dams have been receiving good inflows and levels has touching their maximum levels.
The Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir near here, built across the river Cauvery, continued to receive good inflows with incessant rain in Kodagu district. The water level in KRS stood at 115.24 feat against the maximum level on 124.80 feet. The inflow was 27011 cusecs and outflow was restricted to 6594 cusecs.
Since the rains has given let off in the Wayanand in Kerala the catchment areas of the Kabini reservoir in the district the inflow has declined to 22625 cusecs from 30,000 cusecs while the outflow was reduced to 17,052 cusecs.
While the Harangi level which had touched its maximum level with reduced inflow and outflow of 6,623 and 5,820 cusecs respectively.
The level reading 2858.23 feet against the maximum level of 2859 feet.
