Humid weather persists in Delhi though light rains bring relief
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) For the second day today, warm and humid weather conditions persisted in Delhi with the mercury remaining two degrees above normal at 35.7 degrees celsius.
A bright Sunlight, for the second consecutive day, coupled with a high humidity of 87 per cent maintained warm and humid conditions in the Capital though a short spell of light rains in the afternoon brought some respite from sultry conditions.
A total of 0.8 mm rainfall was recorded till 1730 hours.
The maximum was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
Tomorrow, the Capital could witness a further rise in mercury with weathermen forecasting increase in maximum temperature to 37 degrees Celsius.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possiblity of rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
