Gold steady while silver eases in the closing session
Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Spot rate of Gold remained steady today to end at Rs 12,510, while silver went down by Rs 85 to finish at Rs 24,830 on lower buying support by industrial users, in the bullion market today, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
The white metal opened low at Rs 24,800 per kg, on lack of good demand and finished at Rs 24,830, declining by Rs 85 per kg from its yesterday's close.
Standard gold and pure gold also opened low at Rs 12,505 and Rs 12,560 respectively, amid sustain heavy selling pressure along with weak advice from dealers.
Later, standard gold remained steady and closed at Rs 12,510, while pure gold slightly improved by Rs 5 to finish at Rs 12,575 from its yesterday's close.
