Farmer commits suicide due to failure of crops
Bidar, Aug 2 (UNI) A 25 year-old farmer committed suicide today by consuming poison at Hannihargaon Village in Balki Taluk in the District following damage of crop due to failure of monsoon rains.
Police said that Dattatheraya Badrinath had borrowed Rs 3.5 lakhs from a bank and private lenders. The sugarcane and black gram crops in his field withered due to failure of monsoon.
Unable to repay the loan, he took extreme step in the life by consuming poison in his house. He was immediately rushed to the Government Hospital where he died.
