Commission agent poisoned, two arrested
Kapurthala, Aug 2 (UNI) A commission agent of Nand Sangojla village was allegedly poisoned to death by four persons at a medical store in the town here yesterday, police today stated.
The deceased identified as Gurpreet Singh (26) was offered a cold drink laced with some poisonous substance at the medical store,which led to his death.
Police has identified the accused as Navneet Kumar, owner of a medical store, Gurpreet, Avtar Singh and Baljinder Singh and registered a murder case under sections 302 and 34 IPC against them.
According to the police, the victim had come to the town to collect money from its owner, which he had loaned out sometime back. The commission agent's body was found in his car from the outskirts of his village late last night by villagers who in turn informed the police.
After investigations. the police has arrested two of the accused, Gurpreet and Baljinder Singh and dispatched police parties to apprehend the remaining accused.
