Veteran journalist Deepak Mishra shot dead

Rewa, MP, Aug 1 (UNI) Veteran journalist Deepak Mishra has been gunned down by unidentified persons in this district, police said today.

According to preliminary information, Mishra (42), who was posted as bureau head of a Hindi daily published from Jabalpur, was going in his car along with unidentified people who fired upon him. Mishra received gunshot on his neck.

Police said the culprits drove the car for nearly two km after the incident. Later, they abandoned the vehicle and body and fled.

Police have sealed the area to nab the culprits.
