Vajpayee condoles Surjeet's demise

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today paid homage to veteran Marxist leader Harkishan Surjeet who died here this afternoon.

In a statement Mr Vajpayee said the news of Surjeet's death was indeed sad and Surjeet had been fighting his ideological battle throughout his life.

"I condole Surjeet's death and pay my humble tributes to the late leader", he said.
