Two Moga cops in Judicial custody for raping deaf-dumb girl
Moga, Aug 1 (UNI) A court here today sent two police men, arrested on the charges of raping a young deaf and dumb woman, into judicial custody till August 14.
Head constable Paramjit Singh and constable Balbir Singh, posted in Moga city Division-I police station were arrested by the police on August 30 after a case of raping the 20-year-old disabled girl was registered against them.
Judicial Magistrate Tarsem Mangla also directed the police to send the rape victim to Nari Niketan, Jalandhar.
In the meantime, police was also in search of the third suspect Sonu of Nanak Nagri.
Earlier, the police had taken the rape victim to a Faridkot Red Cross school for deaf and dumb where the expert confirmed that the victim's action indicated that she was charging the two policemen of committing the crime.
The medico-legal report of the rape victim by the Moga Civil Hospital also observed that the crime can not be ruled out.
