Toll in Ahmedabad blasts rises to 55 with death of two boys

Ahmedabad, Aug 1 (UNI) The toll in the July 26 city serial bomb blasts has risen to 55 with the death of two minor boys.

Eight-year-old Mohammad Israr died at the Vadilal Sarabhai Hospital, while 12-year-old Rohan Vyas died at the civil hospital here yesterday.

Israr and his mother, Shugra Bano, had sustained injuries in a bomb blast at Narol circle. Rohan sustained serious injuries in the worst blast at the Trauma Centre of the hospital, which has so far claimed 23 lives.

In the blast, Rohan's father, Dushyantbhai, and his nine-year-old brother, Yash, also sustained serious injuries. While Dushyantbhai died earlier, Yash is still fighting for life with severe burn injuries.

With Israr's death, the toll in serial bomb blasts has touched 55.
