MoU inked for operating buses between C'garh and Bihar
Raipur, Aug 1 (UNI) A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Chhattisgarh and Bihar for operating buses on 28 routes via Jharkhand, official sources said today.
The MoU was inked during a high-level meeting between Chhattisgarh Principal Secretary (Transport) N K Aswal, Bihar Transport Commissioner Ravi Parmar and Deputy Secretary (Transport) Vashisht Singh yesterday.
A similar MoU has already been signed between Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
A MoU for operating buses existed between undivided Madhya Pradesh and undivided Bihar earlier but buses stopped plying after the bifurcation of both the states and subsequent closure of the State Transport Corporation in Chhattisgarh.
Sources added that a memorandum would soon be signed between Bihar and Jharkhand following which buses would start plying.
