JD(U) to expose irregularities committed by Lalu

Patna, Aug 1 (UNI) The Janata Dal(U) today vowed to expose within ten days all the irregularities committed by Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.

Talking to newsprsons here, JD(U) national general secretary cum spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari and party's state president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh alleged that Mr Prasad's claims about his achievements in the ministry were nothing but a ''bundle of lies''.

Describing Mr Prasad as the 'greatest liar', both of them said that only five projects, including a railway line up to his in-laws house, got green light during his regime.

'' Mr Prasad was treating railways as his personal property,'' they said, alleging that he had appointed several of his relatives in the ministry. '' If probed, the irregularities in the railways would be of larger dimension than the fodder scam,'' they claimed.

'' The Railway Minister got irritated when his real face was exposed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,'' they said, adding that Mr Prasad was suffering from ''Owl syndrome''.

Both of them alleged that Mr Prasad ''cheated'' the people of Bihar by not keeping his promise of making the roads of the state like ''cheeks of Hema Malini'' and had also failed to execute his other assurances.

Mr Prasad has lost his credibility, they alleged and asked him to disclose the reason for the delay in execution of the projects launched during the regime of Mr Kumar as Railway Minister.

Mr Prasad was creating confusion among the investors interested in investing in the state.
