Herbal plants' plantation drive from Aug 3
Shimla, Aug 1 (UNI) To promote the plantation of herbal plants, the Himachal Pradesh Government would launch 'Jan Jan Sanjivani Van Abhiyan' from August 3 in the state.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the campaign would make Himachal a "herbal state".
"Mother nature has blessed the state with immense natural wealth which is 7.32 per cent of nation's bio-diversity, consisting of 3,295 species out of over 45 thousand available all over the country," he said.
He said that the state had already distributed 12.5 lakh herbal plants for plantation in the state. He said that 4,509 distribution centres had been set up all over the state to distribute herbal plants.
