Hamid Ansari releases Urdu book on journalism and freedom struggle
New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari today released a book "Urdu Sahafat Aur Jang-e-Azadi 1857" (Urdu Journalism and Freedom Struggle 1857) at a function here today.
Authored by senior Urdu journalist Masoom Moradabadi, the book boldly reflects the spirit, dedication and objectivity in giving graphic details of Urdu Press and its phenomenal role in 1857 uprising.
The book brings out great work pioneered by the Urdu journalists during the freedom spring to 1857 by establishing their role in the right historical perspective.
