Groundnutseed, its oil, RBD palm oil down

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed, its oil and RBD palm oil further declined today on sluggish demand from stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In the oil segment (per ten kgs), groundnut oil, sunflower exp ref and castor comm were reduced by Rs five per ten kgs each due to sustained heavy selling pressure from stockists. Refined palm oil also eased further by Rs six per ten kg.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnut seed and catorseed Bombay slipped by Rs 25 per quintal each, on persistent offloading by stock holders. Castorseed Disa also dipped by Rs 50 per quintal.

However, Javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 remained steady on scattered buying by bulk consumers.

In de-oiled cakes, cottonseed exp and castor extr rose by Rs 200 per metric tonne each on speculative buying, traders added.
