Cruise named in 250 m dollar Church of Scientology lawsuit
London, Aug.1 : Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has been named in a 250 million dollar lawsuit that is being brought against the Church of Scientology.
Former scientologist Peter Letterese filed legal papers in Florida on July 15 alleging that members of the church harassed him after he left, reports the New York Daily News.
Letterese wants the church, which he calls a 'crime syndicate', broken up under America's RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization) law that has been used by federal authorities to tackle Mafia families.
