Council member seeks amendments against Vastu practices
Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) Mr M C Nanaiah of Janata Dal (S) today moved an amendment Bill in the Legislative Council urging the state government to stop making structural changes in the government offices and residences in the name of ''Vastu''.
Moving the private member's Bill he said ''India being a secular state, no minister should perform puja, homa or havan or any other religious activities in government offices provided to him to discharge his functions as a minister.'' The government was wasting lakhs of rupees for bringing changes, and modifications in the form of alterations or repairs on the ground of ''Vastu'', he said.
