Bomb-shaped parcel creates terror among people in GPO

Patna, Aug 01 (UNI) An unclaimed bomb-shaped parcel found in the parcel room of the general Post Office (GPO) here, created panic among the people in the state capital today.

Senior police superintendent Amit Kumar confirming the incident said a bomb-shaped packet was found in the heap of parcels piled over in the parcel section of the GPO. Soon after getting the information the senior police officers arrived at the spot and took the packet in their possession.

He said the packet was opened safely and it was found to contain some iron nails and white powder like substance which had been sent to forensic laboratory to detect the nature of the objects.

Earlier, panic gripped over the entire GPO premises as the information of finding the packet spread like wildfire.
