Sharon Stone's 'karma' may face a $1bn earthquake!
Melbourne, July 31 : Sharon Stone must be ruing the day she made a backhand comment about China's devastating earthquake being "karma" for its stance on Tibet, especially as she's now facing a 1 billion dollar lawsuit.
According to celebrity gossip website Hollyscoop.com, the suit is being filed by 1000 survivors and victims' families who have been rallied by a New York lawyer.
The lawyer is demanding a better apology on Stone's part, stating that failing to do so will see her slapped with the lawsuit, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Attorney Ming Hai says: "For the families who have lost their loved ones or lost limbs or suffered severe injuries, your statement and act has caused extreme emotional distress."
The lawsuit comes even as Stone was caught describing the recent earthquake in California as "fun".
Her remark following the China earthquake met with massive fallout, with officials threatening to ban the release of her movies there and French fashion house Christian Dior dropping her as the spokesmodel for its Chinese advertising campaigns.
