Nitish reviews flood protection measures

Bagha, Jul 31 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today reviewed the preparation for flood protection measures and directed the officers and engineers concerned to take suitable steps in providing insulation to the people from flood fury.

Mr Kumar also took stock of the situation of the works being carried along the Gandak river and expressed his satisfaction over the measures being taken to face the flood threat.

'' The State Government is taking all measures to save the people from flood fury in North Bihar with its limited resources, '' he said adding any officer found guilty of dereliction in discharging his duties would not be spared.
