NCP flays Nitish Govt decision of sending all party delegation
Patna, Jul 31 (UNI) The NCP today questioned the rationale behind the Nitish Kumar government's decision to send an all party delegation to New Delhi to request Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for lifting the ban on export of maize.
NCP state president Upendra Kishowa told newspersons here that Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar had already assured of taking suitable steps for the redressal of problems following the ban on maize.
'' The Centre has directed the FCI to set up units in Bihar to purchase maize from farmers, '' Mr Kushwaha informed.
The state president of the party also lambasted the Nitish Kumar Government for making ''tall'' calims but doing nothing concrete to boost the agriculture sector in the state.
Mr Kushwaha also criticised the NDA government for not sending any proposal to the Centre for providing quota of edible oil to the state and instead creating hue and cry over the escalation of prices of essentials.
