Hooda asks people to oust BJP from Rajasthan

Chandigarh, July 31 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today exhorted the people of Rajasthan to unite and vote against the BJP ruled government of the state in the forthcoming assembly elections.

He was addressing a largely attended public meeting at Kotputli in Maharaja Suraj Mal Chhatravas. The meeting was organised by the Kotputli unit of Rajasthan Jat Sabha on the occasion of unveiling of the statue of Maharaja Suraj Mal in Chhatravas.

The Chief Minister claimed that the BJP government in Rajasthan had worked against the interests of farmers and the working class during its tenure.

Mr Hooda claimed that his government in Haryana had introduced pro-farmers policies including giving the highest floor rates along with royalty of Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 for a period of 33 years for the acquired land of farmers. As a result of this step, the prices of agriculture land in Rajasthan had also increased during the lastthree years.

Paying his rich tributes to Maharaja Suraj Mal,the CM said that Suraj Mal who became king at the age of 14, organised the Jat community and became an inspiring force for the people of coming generations.

AICC General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot praised Mr Hooda for pursuing pro-farmer policies. He also paid tributes to Maharaja Suraj Mal.

Mr Sachin Pilot, MP from Dausa in his speech alleged that BJP had always indulged in dividing the society in the name of caste, religion, area and even 'gotra'. The BJP was not aware of the problems being faced by the people in Rajasthan, he added.
