Haryana to observe communal forthnight

Chandigarh, Jul 31 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to observe "Sadhbhawana Diwas" on August 20 and "Communal Harmony Fortnight" from August 20 to September 5 through out the state in an appropriateand befitting manner.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the theme of the Sadhbhawana Diwas was to promote integration and harmony amongst the people of all religion, languages and regions.

Goodwill towards everyone and eschewing violence are the two main mottos of the Sadbhawana Diwas.

To promote this theme further, the Government had also decided to observe the fortnight from August 20 to September 5 as the Communal Harmony Fortnight.

He said that on Sadbhavana Diwas, an all-faith prayer meeting would be conducted followed by administering of the Sadbhavana pledge.
